We made it through week one of 25 Days of Cookies, and I need to just sit with that for a second.
Seven cookies (well, 8 by the time of this posting) are live on our feeds (@queenc007 and @reneeswift_realtor on Instagram). But here’s what you don’t see behind the scenes: as of today, we’ve filmed and baked nineteen cookies. My tummy hurts from all the taste-testing. And my heart is absolutely full from this experience.
Finding Our Flow
One of the best surprises? How well Renee and I work together in the kitchen. It’s almost like we hit a flow state. Once we get moving, everything just clicks. Beyond the kitchen, she’s been absolutely killing it with the daily posting schedule while I’m holding down the editing side of things. We’ve naturally fallen into this rhythm that just works, and honestly, that’s been one of the most rewarding parts of this whole project.
The Challenge of Showing Up Daily
Let’s be real, posting every single day is no joke. It takes planning, consistency, and a whole lot of commitment. But we’re doing it, and we’re learning so much in the process. (There’s a dedicated blog post coming soon about everything we’ve learned because trust me, there’s a lot.)
What We’re Building
This project has already grown beyond just baking cookies and posting them online. We’re creating something bigger, and week one has been about laying that foundation:
The Week 1-7 Cookbook
We compiled all the recipes from our first seven cookies into a beautiful, easy-to-follow cookbook. Every recipe we’ve tested, tweaked, and perfected is in there, ready for you to recreate at home. (You can grab your copy here! We’d love for you to bake along with us!)
Cookie Boxes Coming Soon!
We’re finalizing the details on cookie boxes that you’ll be able to order. Yeah, you read that right. More details are coming very soon, but just know, we’re making this as delicious for the locals in Fort Wayne as it has been for us.
New Projects in the Works
We’re already dreaming beyond the 25 days. What comes next? We’ve got some exciting ideas brewing, and we can’t wait to share them with you when the time is right.
